Dogfish Shark & The Unborn…
About two years ago, I was filleting some dogfish, a breed of shark, in preparation for serving dogfish shark on the menu. To my surprise, one of the sharks was pregnant with baby sharks inside. While a few were in their advance stages before birth, others were embryos with the yolk sac attached.
What follows are photos that I took in B&W for a more dramatic effect. Note the size of the baby sharks and embryos in relation to the paring knife which is around 5″ in length.
